Housing Association – InnovTech worked with the local ICT team within the housing association to architect and implement a full ICT infrastructure ready to migrate from the local authority. We assisted with the budget forecast plan to inform their management team of the overall costs of the project before initiation. The infrastructure was implemented completely offline, with duplicates of all application systems the housing association would utilise in their new domain. These were created to establish a fully functional testing platform for management to sign off before the migration of the end users would occur. The housing association were asked to test all system applications over a month to ensure all services were fully functioning to minimise disruption to their customers. The successful migration has taken this housing association into a new innovative world with the latest in Microsoft Solutions presented by a fully virtualised server estate. All user desktops were automatically deployed and re-built with Windows 7 and Office 2010 utilising a standard build, whilst keeping user customization. This new environment was architected with future strategies in mind ensuring the solution catered for secure, flexible and agile mobile working.
